The quote from Rumi strikes me so intensely because it made even more clear to me what my actual offer to you is. “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” – Rumi That's right! This is actually what I'm doing in private on a daily basis 24/7 since years and what I'm helping my client with. And the delicate part of the quote for me is, it's about seeking and finding the barriers - but not necessarily getting rid of them! This is essential because we're human. Messiness is our inherent flavor. But also Love is our home. It's where we come from and what makes us seek the union and connection with another in the first place. Yet it's not about being perfect - it's about seeking and finding. With this you bring in integrity. That's all it takes to walk a path with someone. Not perfection but selfresponsibility for your own barriers. In modern terms we can call these barriers that separate us from Love our relational patterns, traumas and shadow aspects, attachment wounds... It's these that stand inbetween us and the pure feeling of connectedness with another. Isn't it sad? In every relationship there once was at least one short moment where you stood infront of each other and the hearts were overflowing with PURE Love for each other ... and then the patterns kicked in! So what if we could remember Love more? Not neglect our needs, safety necessities and messy nature, but put Love a little more in account? "...seek and find all the barriers whithin yourself..." and for sure Love can be the ground to build solutions for your struggles upon.
